Mobile Home Air Conditioning
The easiest Mobile Home A/C for most to install is a
Package Unit. Of the package units on the market,
Janitrol and Intertherm are best suited for mobile home
installation because of their heavy duty blowers which
easily overcome the high static pressure prevalent in
most all mobile homes.
Mobile homes should be skirted (prevent air flow under
the structure) to obtain the most cooling with the
smallest air conditioner.
The package air conditioners listed are Cool Only, unless
it is a Gas/Electric Unit, if auxillary electric heating
is desired refer to the accessories area.
The Standard Duct Connection for Mobile Home Package
Units has one discharge duct; this will perform; BUT
delivers marginal uneven air volume. The Delux Duct
Connection Kit is recommended; it employs a plenum and
THREE discharge ducts which lowers the static pressure
and gives greater, more even air flow.
